About Our School

Ecole Primaire Saint-Stanislas Ruyenzi is a private Catholic school under the Diocese of Kabgayi. The school started on January 6, 2020. It offers two levels of education: Early Childhood (N1 to N3) and Primary (P1 to P6).

For the 2024–2025 academic year, the school has a total of 611 students — 124 in Early Childhood and 487 in Primary. There are 22 teachers, with 6 teaching at the nursery level and 16 in the primary section.

In addition to regular religious education classes, every Thursday we celebrate Mass. At the end of each term, the school organizes a short spiritual retreat. Once a year, we mark our school's feast day, during which children who are prepared receive basic sacraments.

Our students do more than just follow the academic curriculum — they also participate in sports and cultural activities. Starting last year, we joined cultural competitions, winning several trophies. This year, we added football (soccer) to our activities. Last year, our school's traditional dance troupe ranked first in Kamonyi District (among primary schools). This year, it placed third nationally. We now have football teams for boys and girls, and we are about to launch volleyball, basketball, and badminton.

Overall, we are proud of the school's achievements since it was founded five years ago. We deeply thank all those who contribute to its success: teachers, parents, students, and various partners. This year, for the first time, our students passed national exams with a 100% success rate. In Kamonyi District, we ranked first; in the Southern Province, fifth; and 22nd nationwide. We give thanks to God. Because of this performance, our school is now ranked number one in primary school exam success across the Diocese of Kabgayi.
